The Tuberose Polyanthus is definitely my favorite flower! Its scent is creamy and seductive but I also find there is a muted sadness to it. I adore perfumes such as Fracas, Carnal Flower and Poison. Yet , I have not encountered that sad and silent aspect of this beautiful flower in fragrances. One perfume I do love that captures the ‘sleeping of the tuberose’ is Andy Tauer’s Sotto di la Luna Tuberose’.

Anyway – two weeks ago I was in Grasse and after a visit to a tuberose field I did this drawing of  The sleeping Tuberosa Polyanthus.
